Choosing the Right School for Your Child

We know parents want to see the school in action, meet our pupils and teachers and feel the atmosphere for themselves. That’s why we invite every family to enjoy a personal visit, tailored to your child’s age and interests, so you can experience Swanbourne House firsthand.

The Admissions Journey

  • Personal Visit – Meet our Head, Mr Holloway, tour the school and see Swanbourne in action. We can arrange Saturday tours.
  • Registration – If you decide to proceed, you’ll be invited to complete our registration form.
  • Assessment Day – Your child will spend time with us at Swanbourne. Depending on age, they may complete short assessments in Maths and English, alongside fun activities that help us get to know them as individuals.
  • Offer of a Place – Families are notified promptly, and our team will guide you through next steps to joining the Swanbourne community.

Boarding

Families considering boarding — whether weekly, flexible or full — are warmly encouraged to explore our Boarding House during their visit. Boarding is a big step, and we appreciate parents and children often want the chance to discuss life in the House in more detail.

On our Open Mornings and during Personal Tours, you will always be able to see our Boarding facilities. If you would like a dedicated tour of the House and the opportunity to speak with our Head of Boarding, we will arrange this as part of your visit.
