Harvest is a time of giving

It was a special morning for Swanbourne House and Manor House pupils as they attended an annual Harvest Service at the beautiful St Swithun’s Church in Swanbourne.
In the days leading up to the service, pupils had been busy collecting donations of non-perishable food items to support the Milton Keynes Food Bank. On the day, children carried their bags and boxes of food across the road from school to church, traffic pausing as the pupils made their way to the service.
We were delighted to welcome parents of our Manor House pupils as they joined the service and enjoyed watching their children perform a series of songs and hymns. The service continued with the older pupils from Swanbourne House, who filled the church with their voices as the senior choir performed for their teachers and fellow pupils.
The Harvest Festival is a time for us to celebrate and give thanks, while also remembering the importance of generosity and giving to those less fortunate.
The event was a wonderful reminder of the values of gratitude, community, and kindness that sit at the heart of our school.
