Set within 55 acres of beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, just 20 minutes from Milton Keynes, Buckingham, Leighton Buzzard and Woburn Sands,  Swanbourne House offers an exceptional environment where children can learn, play and grow. Our facilities combine historic charm with modern innovation, giving pupils space to explore  both inside and outside the classroom.

We’re a proud outdoor school!

At Swanbourne House, children have the freedom to explore and thrive in 55 acres of beautiful countryside. Our outdoor spaces include private woodlands, eucalyptus woods and a dedicated Outdoor Learning Classroom.

Pupils enjoy expansive lawns and play areas, from the Manor House trim trail to the much-loved Fort climbing structure, encouraging active play and imagination every day.

Our location in the quiet village of Swanbourne, Buckinghamshire, surrounded by farmland, means children also enjoy daily encounters with nature  – from spotting farm animals in the fields to observing red kites, pheasants and deer in the wild.

These experiences make outdoor learning a natural part of life at Swanbourne, building confidence, resilience, and a lasting love of the outdoors.

Sports Facilities

Sport is a central part of life at Swanbourne House, and our pupils benefit from facilities that rival many senior schools. Our grounds are designed to give every child the chance to play, compete and excel across a wide range of sports.

Highlights include:

  • A 20m indoor swimming pool

  • Two astroturf pitches for hockey, netball and football

  • Two grass tennis courts

  • Dedicated grass pitches for football, rugby and cricket ,plus two cricket pavilions. 

  • A six-hole golf course

  • An indoor Sports Hall.

As part of The Stowe Group, our pupils also enjoy access to Stowe’s outstanding facilities, including a competition swimming pool, athletics track, gym, equestrian centre, and shooting range.
