Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE)
At Swanbourne House, PSHE is integral to school life from EYFS to Year 8. Through a broad and age-appropriate programme, pupils learn about health and wellbeing, relationships, and living in the wider world, in line with statutory guidance.
Our curriculum helps children develop confidence, resilience, and respect for others, while equipping them with the knowledge and skills to make safe, informed choices. Topics include physical and emotional health, online safety, relationships and families, diversity, citizenship, and financial awareness.
PSHE is taught through lessons, assemblies, circle time, chapels, visiting speakers, student leadership, workshops, charity projects, and the student council. This inclusive approach ensures pupils grow as thoughtful, responsible individuals, well-prepared for the next stage of their education and life beyond school.
